I recently decided to replace an older laptop and was wondering how I was going to get my important files off my old one and put them onto the new. I read somewhere that I could actually open up the back of my laptop and remove the drive and place it into a specially designed enclosure and plug it into a USB port on the new laptop. Once plugged in I would be able to transfer any files I want over to my new laptop.

I found this ORICO 2599US3 Tool Free USB 3.0 Hard Drive Disk HDD External Enclosure Case online and it sounded like it was exactly what the article that I read was talking about. I followed the instructions in the article and placed the old HDD from my laptop into the case. It was really easy to slide open the case of the enclosure and popped the cover back on. The package included a short standard size USB cord and it says it will plug into any USB port on my laptop including an USB 3.0 port. As soon as I plugged it in Windows identified it and loaded the necessary hardware driver and asked me if I how I wanted to access the content on the drive. I started looking through all the files and transferred the ones I wanted.

The ORICO 2599US3 Tool Free USB 3.0 Hard Drive Disk HDD External Enclosure Case was everything I read about it and what the manufacturer claimed, so I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
