Dog Days of Summer

These last few weeks in New England have brought several heat waves and we are stuck in the Dog Days of Summer.  So many of these days were above 90 degrees and humid.  It is times like these we do not want to be left with our cooling systems failing or not being reliable.

What are your days like?  Do you work out and cherish coming home to air conditioning?  Do you have an infant at home and really need your living space to be more comfortable?  What about sleep… Are you getting enough quality sleep or are you trying to tough it out in 95 degree temperatures?  You definitely want to make sure everything is constantly working properly.

For us, we go to work and school (even in the summer) all day, but then we go to the barn.  Taking care of horses is hard work and it doesn’t matter if it is 95 degrees out.  Hauling hay, grain, working with tack and saddles, cleaning stalls, lugging large buckets of water – these are very demanding workouts and that doesn’t even count the workout from riding the horses.  When we get home – we are exhausted and would be quite irritable if we had to come home to a house that is over 100 degrees.  Our house has three stories and the higher we go, naturally the hotter it gets if we don’t have the air on.
