When I was young – far too many years ago – my parents and grandparents always had hot water bottles. It seems those bottles were used for whatever ailed you. Years went by and I hadn’t even seen them around. Now they seem to be making a comeback and I couldn’t be happier.
Water bottles are far more versatile than other forms of therapy. These can hold hot water or cold water. Not only can they be used for aches and pains or injuries – but when we go camping on those cold winter nights… A hot water bottle can heat up the entire bed. Same thing on a hot summer evening – an ice cold bottle can do wonders!
This hot water bottle is extra large and can be used for even the greatest needs and holds a whopping 2.85 quarts. Because it is so large there is actually a built in handle at the upper corner. It has ribbed edges to avoid direct contact with the skin – we always put something between the water bottle and our skin anyway. This bottle is soft and smooth to the touch. This large size allows for better heat retention. These bottles have a higher rubber content than many competitors which helps with the heat retention and prevents leaking.
After long days at the barn and moving all those heavy bales of hay, the heavy bags of grain and bedding and the constant cleaning of stalls (VERY HEAVY) – we often find ourselves needing heat therapy to relieve the aches and pains. These Peterpan Hot Water Bottles can even be used to keep our dog more toasty on the cold winter evenings!
