Over 73,000 jobs have been added to the Solar Installer industry and by the year 2016, they anticipate a 25 percent increase in jobs. It’s estimated that approximately one out of every 50 jobs created will be created in the solar industry.

Today, over 259,000 Americans are working with such industries. Such vehicles include both cars and trucks that run on hydrogen, electricity and other forms of alternative energy including natural gas.
As the demand for more economical cars grows, so will the job market. Cars that give off less pollution will require skilled engineers and technicians to keep going. DOE has a goal to help improve the next generation of cars that run on such forms of alternative fuel. Their long-term goal is to improve the statistics and offer courses at universities to encourage students to apply for such creative and technical job courses to improve and continue the design of energy efficient high-performance cars and trucks.

At this point in time, there are approximately 1.4 million energy-efficient jobs available in the construction industry. There has also been an increase in construction firms that are spending time on improving energy efficiency. this is a huge increase over the previous years where 65 percent of the jobs were in sustainable building in 2016.
In order to build more sustainable houses and buildings, it will require a wide array of expertise in professional designs and professional construction. It’s going to require architects as well as carpenters, engineers, and even heavy equipment operators.
