We found the answer – a Floor Mattress. But what was the problem?

When my husband and I sold our first home and purchased the one we currently live in – there was a month gap between when we slept at my in-law’s apartment. His old room had a twin bed in it. The kids slept on the twin bed, and he and I slept on the floor on feather comforters layered on top of one another. The first night was a little adjustment, but we thoroughly enjoyed sleeping on the floor. Our kids often asked us if we’d like to switch, and we always said no.

When we moved into our new home, the bigger adjustment went from the floor to a mattress. To this day, our kids all prefer to sleep on the floor. Our daughter has a mattress, but it is on pallets. I have never had a floor mattress before and wasn’t sure what to expect. However, this MAXYOYO-padded Japanese floor mattress is amazing. It can be used solely as a floor mattress, mattress pad, or even a futon mattress.

The mattress cover is made of high-quality polyester. The inner filling is made from polyester and memory foam. An additional layer of padding is added to a mattress to soften it and increase circulation. I have the Queen size: 60 inches wide x 80 inches long, 4.7 inches thick.

This mattress has double-layer tape edges that run along the mattress’s edges. This prevents edge cracking. A high side edge strengthens the support along the mattress’ outer edges.

To keep your floor mattress fluffy, dry it in the sun.

The mattress arrives in a vacuum-sealed bag and expands once the air is released. It also has straps to roll it up like a sleeping bag or mattress pad. However, I couldn’t get the straps to stay securely on the mattress. I am using truck straps – they work perfectly and stay put.
