Make Your Scars Go Away With ScarAway Sheets or Discs @MyScarAway
I have had quite a few surgeries which end up leaving me with scars. Most of the surgeries are on my legs but a few were in more visible locations. I will say I have had some remarkable surgeons who took great pains to minimize scarring. But even so, I still have some. The older I get the more they seem to bother me – not enough to make me crazy but enough that if I can do something about it, why not…
So I was given the opportunity to try the Scar Away Long Silicone Scar Sheets and Scar Away Silicone Daily Discs. These sheets and discs are clinically proven to flatten and soften scars – and to prevent them.
The sheets can be used for larger areas – I used them on my legs where I had bilateral high tibial osteotomies and many other surgeries. Those were major surgeries and honestly the scars are barely visible during the winter months. However, during the sunny months when I start to tan they stand out a great deal more. These sheets work for up to two weeks. These are designed to shrink, flatten and fade scars.
The discs are used for smaller scars and are intended to stay on all day or night. These are perfect for some scars on my neck, wrist or other small scars. This technology is the same as the technology used by burn centers and plastic surgeons. The discs are disposable.
At this point I have mostly used the Long Scar Sheets for my orthopedic scars. I have seen lots of sun already this season and so far I can barely even notice my scars. I seriously doubt anyone would notice them at all unless they knew to look for them. That makes me a whole lot less self conscious.
