I have been given the opportunity to review The Man of Steel costume by Wholesale Halloween Costumes.  The timing was perfect.  My son attends a special needs summer camp and the camp really allows the kids to express themselves however they like.  In his case he likes to dress as a superhero and Superman is a huge hero for him.

This costume is not your inexpensive, off the retail store shelf type of costume.  The fabric is better and sturdier.  The cape is not some flimsy cape – it is a full body full cape – just like Superman really wears.  The sleeves were a little long because it is an adult size and my son is currently in between the teen and adult sizes – you know that awkward size where nothing seems to fit just right.  However, the length of the legs fit perfectly.  He is not a child that smiles often because of his disability – especially in photos.  I seriously have to take about 1200 photos to get one that has a smile in it.  Clearly in these photos he is happy and showing it.

It is early in the morning before he catches the bus to camp – and he is anxious to get on that bus and start showing off his new costume.  As a mom – I can tell you that I am very impressed with this costume.  This is not a costume that will be worn just once then tossed in the back of a closet for the next occasion.  This is a costume that he can wear whenever the urge strikes him.  Too bad we already went to Comic Con!  Maybe next year…  I am sure when the temps cool down he was end up even wearing it to bed on occasion.  He will wear it to the campground for the end of summer pre-Halloween bash.  That is huge and a great opportunity for him to show off how awesome he looks.
