I wanted this car mount because I had an iPhone 5 and a Samsung S4 (larger).  Traditional car mounts worked with both phones but it was a really tight fit for the Samsung.  Plus I knew I was planning on upgrading my iPhone 5 for a 6+.  This product works great and perfectly for my iPhone 5.  However, the sticky pad is rather small and would not reliably hold my Samsung or iPhone 6+.  I am sure it would not hold a tablet like a Kindle Fire but I don’t have a need to mount those in my car.  And I will say that my 6+ does not have a heavy duty case on it.  It actually has the lightest clear cover on it – you really can’t get much lighter than the cover I am using.  So let’s talk about how it handled the iPhone 5 – The mount is quite attractive – it is sleek and not overly large.  The head does pivot to any angle which makes viewing my phone as a GPS very easy.  The iPhone 5 (and my husband’s 4s) does not fall off.  I recommend this mount if you have an iPhone 5, 5s, 5c or smaller size phone.  But when you get to the larger phones – Samsung S4, S5, Note, iPhone 6 or 6+, not a good choice, though I don’t know if there is a good choice out there yet.
