Lip Balm Kit by Handcrafted Honeybee
Whether you’re new to making your own body care products or just love having a different lip balm for every mood and occasion, this kit provides a fun and simple way to create up to 20 lip balms from scratch in just 20 minutes.
We chose to make some cherry and some blueberry lip balms with our kit. There are so many flavors available: Peppermint, Cucumber Melon, Chocolate, Caramel, Papaya, Pineapple, Vanilla, Mango, Cherry, Blueberry, Coconut, Butterscotch. You can also add some Mica to color your lip balms. You can even add additional flavoring if you wish. If you are having a party you can increase the size of your kit based on the size of your party. For the lip balms, we’ll even print up customized labels with their names and/or a personalized message.
Honeybee offers products that are Do-It-Yourself skin and body care kits. These kits are a unique, fun, and easy point of entry for anyone interested in this emerging (and very popular) DIY trend. We offer kits in everything from DIY lip balm to DIY deodorant (although for kids, the most popular kits are definitely the lip balm kits and lava lamp lip gloss kits). For your guide, I suggest either one of these two kits. The lip balm kits can be made with supervision from ages 5 and up; the lava lamp lip gloss kits have been used by kids ages 4-16.

Next we would love to try the Lava Lamp Lip Gloss. This would be great for my daughter and I to make for her class for a Christmas gift.
The instructions are very easy and they offer a double boiler option or a microwave option. We used the microwave option but could just as easily have done the other. We are told exactly how much of which ingredients to include at each step and even suggestions for cleaning afterwards. The melted mixture does cool/harden very quickly so we needed to move quickly. In our case it did fill the entire 20 tubes without a problem. We chose Cherry and Blueberry with a little Mica to add coloring to the cherry balms. I am sure we were a little messier than most people but they still came out great!
So if you are looking for a great gift, a product that you are sure of the ingredients, a group project or just a project to enjoy with your child – this kit fits the bill. Enjoy!
