The Magic Path of Yoga by Upside Down Games

With the Magic Path of Yoga, children will perform yoga poses, enjoy group exercises, and learn about healthy nutrition and the environment.

Recently I reviewed Yoga Spinner by Upside Down Games and my daughter loved it.  So when I was presented with the opportunity to review another of their games I was quite thrilled.  The Magic Path of Yoga introduces the kids to the wonders of yoga.  To play they roll the dice, move your token and wherever you land – pick a card associated with the color of the square you land on, and do basic poses or answer questions about nutrition and the environment.  If you land on a white space you jump through the inner path.  The goal is to be the first player to reach “OM” and win.  Designed for either 2 players or 2 teams and for ages 6 and up.

My daughter loves these Upside Down games.  She has some difficulties regulating her emotions and moods and basic yoga has definitely helped her to regain her composure and focus.  Now with the addition of yoga games into our days it is helping her even more.  She is learning to automatically center herself and get control.  This is huge for her.  I wish she had more time during a school day to try to focus herself and believe me they are quite accommodating.  She is also not the only child that struggles and she is at school before school and after school so it makes for a very long day.  The addition of these games into their programs would help all of the kids immensely.  We love games that incorporate physical activity into the play but this one also incorporates an educational aspect.  A win win all the way around.
