Old Factory Candles Gift Set

Old Factory Candles

Old Factory Candles are natural soy candles.  Candles are available everywhere, why should I buy these?  Well, there is a significant and very positive difference between soy candles and regular paraffin candles.  I’ll try to share with you some of the differences.

Soy candles are known to burn twice as long as regular candles saving you money.  Soy candles burn cleaner.  Have you ever used the cover to put out a candle?  If you do that a few times and look at the underside of the top, it’s all black.  If you burn candles on a regular basis like I do, all that soot is going into your house in places like the ceilings, walls and furniture.

The scent from soy candles is so much better (and naturally stronger) than the scent from the same size regular candle. Have you ever bought a candle that smells great in the store but when you bring it home and light it, you smell nothing?  You won’t find that with soy candles.

Soy candles are made from renewable resources.  Soy wax is made from soybeans while regular candles are made from paraffin, a by-product of producing petroleum.

So these are some of the reasons soy candles are better than paraffin candles. The next question is whose soy candles do I buy?  Old Factory Candles come in a variety of collections with a wealth of different scents. I chose the Fall Harvest Collection to review.

The first thing I noticed was that all the candles were white.  I actually liked that because you don’t have worry about a jar of colored wax where you love the smell but the color doesn’t fit in to your décor!  The Fall Harvest Collection includes Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry and Autumn Leaves.  As I am allergic to pretty much everything outside in the fall, I kept my distance from the Autumn Leaves.  But I loved the Pumpkin Spice and the Cranberry.  Being an avid cooker the scents reminded me of all the dishes I make for Thanksgiving.

After enjoying the scents I lit the Pumpkin Spice and Cranberry at different times.  The smell was as strong as I had read about.  It wasn’t overwhelming but there was definitely a nice smell in the house.  It did really seem like I was cooking.  I also noticed that when I put the candle out by smothering it with the cover there was no soot residue left.

I didn’t have much experience with soy candles before now, but I’m definitely an advocate now and I truly enjoyed the Old Factory Collection.  These candles can be purchased on Amazon. The full list of collections includes: Fall Harvest, Happy Holidays, Winter Wonderland, Romance, Fresh & Clean, Spa Day, Vacation, Coffee Shop, Man Cave, High as a Kite, New Born Baby, 50 Shades. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
