Tomorrow I will being my 24 Day Challenge and as part of that challenge I need to incorporate a fitness component.  Technically it isn’t a requirement but seriously if I am going to put forth efforts in the other areas I should go full steam ahead.  I will start by saying I love to exercise – however, it has to be exciting.  I love to bike – OUTSIDE to experience nature and all that the world has to offer; I love to swim – where a person can feel so free; I love to hula hoop – seriously so much fun; I love to trampoline, dance, skate, kangoo jump, and JUMP ROPE!  I do not like to walk, run or ski.

Ever since I was a child jumping rope has been a personal favorite for exercise.  There is so much you can do when jumping rope – it definitely doesn’t need to be boring.  You can even jump with friends!  This speed jump rope is incredible for this purpose.  Sadly, we have about 40 inches of snow still on the ground from the blizzard and followup storms and it is snowing now for the next three days – otherwise I would show you just how great this is.

Using a jump rope is one of the most effective ways of exercise, both for serious athletes and regular work-out enthusiasts.

This jump rope is very light and the length is adjustable.  As it is, it is definitely too long for me.  However, I simply adjust to the correct height for me and it works perfectly.  I have adjusted the height – you can cut the remaining cable after you adjust the height but my kids and I take turns with it so I haven’t cut the end.  The jump rope also comes with its own bag for easy transport and since we spend a huge amount of time on the road and in Maine – I will definitely be bringing this back and forth.
