In recipes this sweetener has a 1:1 replacement ratio with sugar.  Perfect for those of us who don’t want to deal with some sort of conversion calculation.  There are zero net carbs which is great for everyone but we have diabetics in our family so it is quite important and with 70% fewer calories than sugar and a low glycemic index of 3.

I definitely need to buy me more of this.  I was going to present you all with a toasted pecan recipe but I didn’t have a full cup of lite and sweet to work with.  So in the meantime – we will do summertime lemonade.

I buy a bag of lemons – because of course when I make this lemonade everyone wants some.  Cut them in half and juice them.

For a 20 oz. lemonade (8 oz. just will not be enough) – I add three tablespoons fresh lemon juice and four packages of Lite & Sweet (I like mine on the sweeter side – you could get away with two or three packages for sure).  Add ice, and mix it all up!
