This recipe (sort of a recipe) is just awesome and so versatile. There really isn’t much to say about it except it allows for so much creativity and gets my kids to eat apples. This is a less healthy version but there are many really healthy versions.
No matter what variation you choose to create – you need to core and slice the apples first. I use this apple corer and this ceramic knife to slice my apples. They both work very well and cut through my apples like butter. Smooth as can be.
For this batch we added peanut butter, chopped pecans, butterscotch chips and sweetened coconut.
But you can try other toppings such as sliced bananas, any nut butter, raisins, cran-raisins, any chopped nuts, sprinkles, apple butter and more. Whatever you have on hand at the time – you don’t need to buy anything special, just use what you have on hand.
Enjoy
