From Drab to Fab Saddle Fun

We recently bought a horse for our daughter which included the necessity to purchase a saddle.  That can be a huge expense.  We were able to get a really good deal on a second handle saddle in Ocala Florida but even then the saddle was almost as expensive as the horse.  That I wasn’t prepared for.

When my son decided he wanted a saddle I had to consider taking Title Loans.

So then my son decided he wanted a saddle – we were already home from Florida so I couldn’t score another deal in Ocala but I was able to get a saddle from the owner of the barn we board at.  She was selling a whole bunch of saddles and she hand picked one out for him (she knows us very well).

Since he doesn’t own a horse we couldn’t go by that – we just were buying a saddle that we hoped would fit any horse he rides.  The saddles construction was still really good – the stirrup straps weren’t ripped or anything.  But it definitely showed signs of wear.

So with the help of Eco Flo Leather Dye I was able to make this saddle look good as new.  It was really easy to apply.  I should have applied two coats but since I accidentally dropped the bottle on the garage floor and don’t have any left – one coat it is…

Good as new Fab Version

And now the saddle is in use – every single day at Valley View Riding Stables.  Naturally we now need to find a horse for him to call his own.

That is how you make a saddle from Drab to Fab!
