We recently took a trip to Florida for some business and part of that business included checking out some unique shops. Good Apple Equine Consignment was one that we were fortunate to find in Ocala Florida.
They are an exclusive equestrian consignment shop in Ocala Florida – they have everything to meet your equestrian needs. With more than 2,800 consignors, there is a constant rotation of inventory and quality products. Everything for English and Western disciplines – ranging from saddles, horse tack, rider apparel, horse gear and even equine fine art and collectibles.
And the perfect saddle – complete with stirrups and stirrup leathers (not in photo)…
Items that are over 6 months old are 20% off and all are gently used. There are items on their website but not nearly everything that is in the store.

Everything is in perfect order and easy to find. The place is small but they very smartly utilize every inch of the space.
Now when we went in we were in the process of buying a horse. We knew which horse – we just didn’t own it yet. We were new to figuring out exactly what we need and the staff here was patient and amazing. We did leave with a saddle – and it was an awesome deal. We could never have afforded a saddle this awesome if we had to consider purchasing it new.
This place has anything and everything. We also went shopping with our son who is autistic and they were very patient dealing with his wheeling and dealing and millions of questions. And yes he did wheel and deal and score himself an awesome book about horses.
Next time we head to Florida we will definitely be going back. Our daughter can definitely use another show coat and can always use additional breeches.
I do wish this place was in New England but it isn’t. We don’t have hidden gems like this. I am sure next time I go I will be going with a list from all my Connecticut friends!
So if you are ever in the area of Ocala – even if you are not an equestrian – this is a really cool shop. And if you are an equestrian – it is crazy to pay full price when you can get real quality gently used products at an affordable price.
Soon we will be buying another horse for our son – we just have to find just the right horse. Then I can see another trip to Ocala being in order…
And what does our daughter look like with her new horse?
