Depression has become a major health concern. We all know someone or have a family member who has suffered with depression. It can be debilitating and horrible for families. This is an epidemic and it is silent and can be deadly. There are many famous victims of this horrible disease but that fame has helped bring awareness to just how horrible it can be and how more needs to be done to help.
The Moodivator™ App is this brand new unique app that helps to set goals and, apply action steps to those goals that they may eventually become routines. All with better health and wellness as the end goal. The app is easy to set up; easy to make changes and take action. It is visually appealing and designed to celebrate all successes – small and large.
The Moodivator app is not a treatment for depression and does not take the place of your doctor’s care or advice. This app also includes information about a prescription treatment option for depression.
I have found the app to be interesting and helpful to be aware of just what I want to improve in my day/life etc… I can choose to set goals for treatment, wellness, work, home and family or social. Goals are available for some of the most stressful events in everyone’s lives. The app is designed to help as you manage your depression but as you go through and set goals they are valuable for anyone who wants to achieve success by setting personal goals.
For example a work goal is to be more productive at work… That is definitely a goal for me. Though a really good one would be for me to consistently get to work on time – though that one is highly out of my control – it totally depends on what times the bus picks up my kids for school in the morning. So if my objective is to show progress and actually reach my goals – I need to ignore that one…
Technology is helping with so many aspects of our lives now. I can’t even begin to imagine my life anymore without a smartphone and these advancements help greatly when it comes to health and wellness. This app is the perfect tool to help you as you manage your depression. In fact, a 2014 survey found that 70% of patients being treated for a mental health disorder say they want to use a mobile application to monitor their mental health on a daily basis.
The Moodivator app was developed by Pfizer. They created this app while in consultation with leading psychiatrists and it is designed to complement a patient’s treatment. The app is helpful because it is free, simple, efficient and highly portable thanks to smartphones. The app motivates and encourages patients to take an active role in their treatment. They will even receive encouraging and inspirational messages to help. The app’s simple features include goal setting, mood tracking and sharing results.
Share this app with your friends and family! Everyone can benefit from the goal setting and action steps.
