What Is Your Best Part of Wakin’ Up? #FolgersJingle #IC #ad

One of the most famous jingles of all time (or at least all MY time) is the Folgers® jingle – The Best Part of Wakin’ Up™ , is the Folgers in your cup….  Not only is it a catchy tune but it is also a tune that really wakes you up and makes you want to get moving.  I hear that jingle and it automatically evokes happy feelings for a happy tune.

Better yet… and yes it does get better.  When I hear that jingle while I am actually brewing up a batch of Folgers – my morning is complete.  It is a great way to start my day whether I am headed to the office for a long day of crunching numbers or headed to an equestrian show at the very wee hours of the morning – those hours that no one in their right mind should be awake, but we are.  Folgers makes days like that easier and better from the moment we roll out of bed and head out on the road.  And since it is February and equestrian events are outside – we bring plenty of Folgers along to keep us nice and toasty all day long.

And now, Folgers is holding a jingle contest by inviting aspiring musicians to embrace their well-known tune and make it their own.  Think about all the times you have heard the National Anthem sung – every artist adds something of theirs to make it their own.  How would you make the Folgers Jingle your own?

Country music singer-songwriter Chris Young has teamed up with Folgers to encourage aspiring musicians to create their own version of the iconic Best Part of Wakin’ Up™ Jingle in the Folgers Jingle Contest.

How does the contest work?  

Entrants will need to submit a video of  your best version of the jingle on the website from January 30th through February 27th. Your version of the Jingle must include the complete melody and complete lyrics of “The Best Part of Wakin’ Up is Folgers in Your Cup.”  Five semifinalists will be selected between February 27th and March 19th and these semi-finalists will have a mentor session with Chris Young before online voting occurs!  Isn’t that incredible?  I have always been a “sing in the shower” kind of gal but I would love to enter and see if I have what it takes to win a mentor session with Chris Young.  Not to mention I am also a country music lover – what could be better.  Online voting occurs from March 27th through April 24th and fans around the country will be able to vote daily for their favorite jingle (artist).  Each vote automatically enters you to win prizes up to $10,000.  The WINNER will be selected in May and will win a grand prize of $25,000.
