My kids love it when I bake for them. Honestly – I also love baking for them. But I almost never have time to bake during the week – at least not if I had to bake from scratch. But I can absolutely bake something that is delicious, warm and full of love.
Today I bring you pineapple cake. This is a recipe I saw on BettyCrocker.com and you really don’t get much more easy than this. What are the two ingredients?
As you can see it is very easy to make – these are the recipes my daughter loves to help with. Her work is done very quickly and she feels a quick sense of accomplishment.
It does have a strange consistency – Seph says it feels like she is mixing air. It ends up looking like the froth on top of a fountain soda. When it is done – it is delicious. Sticky and sweet. You can make it in a bundt pan but we just made it in a 9×13 pan. We will definitely be making this again! It satisfies an upside down pineapple cake craving without all the unnecessary calories.
To make this recipe you simply need a box of Angel Food Cake and a full can of crushed pineapples. Mix the two ingredients together – juice and all. We make sure our pineapples are in pineapple juice not heavy syrup. Mix and bake at 350 degrees until the top is a nice crispy light brown. Serve warm or cool with whip cream on top.
This sounds delicious. And only 2 ingredients to bake a cake? It doesn’t get any easier than that. I love both angel food cake and pineapples.
The cake is delicious. I really like this pineapple tart. Very awesome taste.
