Don’t you just love baseball caps? When the weather gets warm the hats in our house automatically come out. Funny thing is in the winter we hate wearing hats – especially winter hats. But the warmer weather comes and baseball hats come out in droves. There is never a summer where we don’t purchase a bunch more.
Occasionally something happens to a hat. In this case I had my hat in my car while I was at work – with a jug full of iced tea. Well you can see that jug did not stay full of iced tea since a great deal of it saturated through my hat. I didn’t get too stressed about it though because I had this 2 pack of a baseball cap washer!
The baseball cap washer is a simple design. It is a frame design built in the shape of a cap with an upper section and lower section to allow your cap to keep its shape through the washing process. It opens with clips that remain closed and do not accidentally pop open through the washing process.
Once you open it – lay the cap inside so the ball of the cap remains over the section that is shaped like the top of your head and tuck the brim into the flat section. Then clip it closed – throw it in the washer and you are good to go.
You can see what the underside looks like…
You can also use this in a dishwasher – which is probably even more effective but I don’t have a dishwasher. Since this is a 2 pack you could do your entire collection of hats at the beginning of each season!
