In order to have a successful company, you MUST have happy customers. Sure you may have some customers who are unhappy and still remain loyal to you but they are few and far between – it is a rarity. And honestly, if they are unhappy do you really think the relationship is going to blossom? Probably not.
Nowadays it is easier than ever to reach customers, onboard customers and build a business that flourishes. Years ago I started a business and honestly I did okay. But it was 100% through word of mouth and Ebay. My customers were repeat customers and I did my best to treat them with respect and treasure them. But it was hard work. I was the first contact with my customers and many times, the only contact. I was the business and the face of the business.
Today, so many businesses are completely online. There is minimal face to face interaction. You have to rely on the internet to greet your customers. This can be a challenge. More and more we are all getting used to this type of relationship with businesses but this online onboarding has to be done properly in order for it to be effective. It can be extremely difficult to have loyal customers when there is not a face they are associating with the business. It can be done though – it just takes a customer onboarding program that is easy to navigate, very clear in its instructions and requirements and visually appealing.
Though I don’t have this set up at the moment, I am hoping to. My “businesses” include a blog, social media management, content creation, content placement, virtual assistance and more. These are all great ways to engage with customers once I have them. My plan for 2018 is to come up with a business plan for a company with customers (and products) that will complement my other services and offerings well. Once I do that I have on my “to do” list the requirement for a customer onboarding program and I am researching these options through this guided tour.
Also at the moment I am a partner with Melaleuca and Zija – both awesome wellness companies that I wholeheartedly support and firmly believe their products improve my quality of life as well as my family’s and my partner business owners. I can’t ask for more. 2018 is looking great and I have so many plans to look forward to bringing to fruition.
Making your customers happy is a great solution. I also think about the importance of turning a potential customer into a paying one so your business can get more sales. This might work best
