How To Choose A Wedding Photographer
Years ago my husband and I married – 29 years ago this year to be exact. Way back then I had the luxury of having a cousin building her portfolio as a photographer so we received our services for free. Most people don’t have that type of circumstance, so what should you do?
What questions to ask a wedding photographer?
How many weddings have you done? How long have you been doing weddings?
Do you bring your own lighting? Do you bring any type of background for portraits if you are unable to do outdoor photos?
Do you have experience at my venue?
Can we provide you with a shot list? For example – couple and bride’s family; couple and groom’s family; all together; etc… The list can become quite extensive. Or do you have a shot list to review and modify prior to the big day?
How many photographers?
How many photos do you take (on average) and how many become viewable/usable (on average)?
What (if any) after products are offered – albums, digital images, proofs, etc…?
What is your cancellation policy? Unfortunately disasters happen and what if….
