What Is A Christmas Market?
Christmas markets are associated with street markets. They are held over the Advent period. They are also known as Christkindlmarket, Christkindlesmarkt, Christkindlimarkt, Christkindlmarkt, or Weihnachtsmarkt.
Striezelmarkt is the origin of Christmas markets. Striezelmarkt is the first Christmas market in the world. Dresden, the capital city of Saxony, Germany, hosted the market.
Then, more markets sprang up around the world. There were Christmas markets in almost every town in Germany, Austria, and France.
Town squares were usually the sites of the events. They marked the beginning of the Christmas holiday season. Open-air stalls often sell seasonal foods, drinks, and beverages.
Having a Christmas market has today become a trend that has attracted millions of people. It is easy to see why people are drawn to the rustic, authentic, and whimsical designs. You will find them in almost every major metropolitan area in the world today.
About ChristKindl.Live
Christkindl.Live is an online Christmkindl marketplace borne out of the idea that many local Christkindl markets will not be happening “live” this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
They’re an independent organization with no affiliation with any existing Christkindl market in the United States.
The organizers of Christkindl.Live represents many vendors who thought that taking the market online could be a great way to bring the holiday shopping experience to people throughout the U.S., many of whom would not otherwise be able to shop their local Christkindl markets this year.
Our virtual market is based in Chicago, IL, with live streams available to many local cities in the US.
On November 15, we’ll start our live stream from our Chicago-based location to our website.

The Weather House
Have you ever heard of a weather house? I had not, but this gift is fantastic. I don’t know the science behind how it works, but it does! I thought this house was cute before I even knew what it did.
In folk art, a weather house is a small German chalet in the shape of a ship which indicates the weather. In most cases, a weather house has two doors, one to the left and one to the right. A woman is standing to the left of the weather house. A man is standing to the right. The female figure is seen coming out of the house during sunny and dry weather, while the male figure sliding forward indicates rain.
German Gluhwein Mug Set Limited Edition
What’s included in this limited edition mug set
One 2020 Christkindlmarket ceramic mug (Limited Edition)
One cup of Glühwein spice mix. Make your own authentic mulled wine! (FREE)
It wasn’t until the 11th century that milling became a popular practice, which involved warming apple cider, hard cider, or wine with various luscious ingredients, resulting in a smooth and soothing evening beverage.
Using cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and orange peels, our Mulling Spices are sweet, delightfully light, and addicting! Utilize their Mulling Spices to make a fragrant cup and enjoy a cornucopia of flavors!
Mulled wine became popular throughout Europe when the Romans introduced it to the people, who eventually called it wassail. Mulling spices were prevalent in medieval England during the winter months, although they were also used to flavor wine, beer, and cider.
Whether you choose to make a mulled wine with allspice, cloves, cinnamon, dried orange peel every year, or preferred tea or fruit juices, don’t overlook the everyday joy of infusing our mulling spices into these beverages!
I have not tried this yet but definitely plan to, probably over Thanksgiving. It looks and smells amazing.

All this reminds me of the big family Christmas we had at her house I miss them . I lived the closest to my gramma and always got to help with baking and making stuff (my gramma and great aunt had me making bread at 3) .
