Our kitchen is this tiny pantry style kitchen.  It didn’t seem like a big deal when we bought the house but it quickly became clear that it was a major inconvenience.  There cannot be two people in there at the same time and if there is and someone is trying to put something into or take something out of the oven – they get burned.  Guess who that someone is most of the time!

These Motucho Gloves are so much better than the traditional cloth oven mitts.  First of all, these are not mitts – they are gloves and I have the flexibility to actually move my fingers.  Not only is that safer but it is much more comfortable.  They are waterproof so all those times I have boiling pasta or even if I am near hot grease like when I make the kids their homemade donuts.

They are machine washable and hand washable.  Oven mitts begin to look nasty very quickly.  With these gloves I just run them directly under water and poof – they are clean.

I also don’t need to wait for my husband to be home to help open a jar – just put my gloves on and I have terrific grip on the jar and cover and easy peasy – the cover comes off.

They are even great for working in cold temperatures like when I need to defrost the old freezer or scrub out the refrigerator.

As an added bonus they include a silicone cup cover – it doesn’t secure itself to mugs but it does keep your drinks nice and warm if you have to step away.  I absolutely love the color of these gloves – neon green!
