Keeping Up With My Kids and Horses With Vitamin Packs

I believe very strongly that we can remain healthy if we take all the steps we can naturally.  Nutrition and supplementation are critical to achieve that goal successfully.  Modern American diets are lacking – often even when we think we are eating healthy, we aren’t.  For example we try to purchase only grass fed beef as much as possible.  We don’t want anything to do with all the products that end up in store bought beef.

I really haven’t been sick in quite a few years.  I have allergies that I would love to get under control but I have been able to keep my immune system doing its job well for quite a while.  Members of my family have had some minor illnesses but I have escaped them all.  UNTIL – just after Christmas this year.  Holy Smokes that was the most sick I have ever been in my life and my husband and daughter were sick at the same time.  Our son didn’t catch it.

We all started with the flu – I was actually surprised I caught it because I had been able to avoid all that stuff for the longest time.  But my husband and I both work in public school education and of course our kids are in schools.  But the worst of it came after the flu when all three of us caught pneumonia.  We were totally incapacitated for 10-12 days then a good ten days of barely functioning after that.  We lost the month of January!  In all our time owning horses we have never missed a day caring for them – we missed almost two weeks.  When I first got sick it would take all I had to drive my son to the barn so at least he could do all the chores.  Once we got there I would simply lean over and sleep in the truck until he was done.  But that became impossible after a few days of that – going down the stairs to even get in the truck was an impossibility.  Fortunately, the barn is one big family and they all knew this was extremely rare and not a possibility – they all pitched in so I didn’t have to worry that the horses (four of them) were in any trouble.  That was a huge relief – though I missed them terribly.

This event made it clear that I needed to get better supplementation to get me through the rest of this flu season, to help me build back up my immune system and to give me the energy and focus I need to get through my busy and long days.  I don’t think I can avoid ever getting sick again but hopefully never as sick as this again.

Store bought vitamins are prepackaged and not designed to meet the needs of any particular individual.  They are very generalized preparations – they have to be in order to try and deal with something for everyone.  But I wanted more – I wanted something that was going to meet MY needs!  Then I found Vitamin Packs!  These are amazing and designed specifically for me!

When I first found Vitamin Packs – their site asks you to complete a very thorough and detailed assessment.  They assess where you need supplementation.  First they ask if you are male or female – because of course we know the needs are not the same between genders.  Other questions are age, height, weight, any special diets you may follow, allergies or sensitivities to food, questions about the type of foods and quantity of foods you eat, if you want to lose weight – how much do you want to lose, exercise questions, and so much more.  They really assess and define what your individual needs are.

Their assessment takes into account any medications you may be on and any interactions that may exist if you take certain supplements.  They think about things differently – all in terms of personalization.  Their goal is to provide a unique science-backed wellness program through personalized vitamin and nutrient recommendations.

After you receive your vitamin packs you can chat with a nutritionist any time.  If circumstances change (with respect to the initial assessment) you can simply retake the assessment and update the results.  Like any supplement they are not designed to treat or diagnose a health condition.

With every order that is placed, Vitamin Angels helps at-risk populations by providing Vitamin Packs to two children – the equivalent of a full year of vitamins each.  So far more than 40,000 children and families around the world have been helped.

The Vitamin Packs arrive in a self dispensing box with an instruction card, a booklet telling about their company and services as well as details about your personalized vitamins.  I have always taken vitamins at night – they suggest taking them in the morning, which I have been.  I am not sure what difference it makes but so far I have been taking them in the morning.  Perhaps that suggestion is specific to my personalization…

These vitamins are convenient (individually packaged for each day), portable, affordable, and they have won awards for the highest quality standards.  All vitamins and supplements are made from raw ingredients, have been tested for purity and quality, and are tested again to verify the amounts of bioavailability.
