Rescuing Sleeping Beauty – SmartGames
I have children ranging in age from 13 through 32 (almost). We have seen alot of changes in all those years and the greatest of all is technology. With our oldest two boys technology wasn’t an issue. Not even a little bit. Cell phones in everyone’s pocket didn’t really come close to being possible until their later years in high school.
Then our middle child came along and not having a cell phone in high school was a huge stigma issue. But still – even then the phone was really for calls so they could spend hours on the phone, or texting.
Our youngest two – well they have already had cell phones for years as well as so much other technology that wasn’t a consideration with the others. That technology comes at a price. Social skills are changing, behaviors are changing and the world is a very different place. Now we are all in a battle to create some separations from technology.
SmartGames has the solution – and many solutions – for this epidemic.
Our newest SmartGames is Sleeping Beauty Deluxe. Now they refer to it as a preschool game but the best part about it is it can start really really easy or get increasingly complex. Definitely enough to even entertain an older child. For us it is important to have games that can be used by all ages due to grandchildren, teens and special needs.
The game is a single player game and includes a guide that breaks down board options by Starter, Junior, Expert and Master. This allows us to differentiate all the skill levels in our home. It also includes a book!
