This is a sponsored post on behalf of Mallary Hope and all opinions are my own.
When I was in college and moved to the midwest – Wichita Kansas actually – I had never listened to any music other than pop and rock. Oh – and of course the really old “country and western” that my grandmother always had on her record player. Little did I know at the time that there were so many other forms of music out there.
Then I moved to the midwest and two genres really jumped out at me. I found myself in the middle of a more modern country music scene. It didn’t take long for me to go from out an outsider in the world of country music to a true fan and lover fo that genre. What was a little less predictable was my introduction and love of christian music. I used to go to church but to me christian music was limited to the hymns we sang during mass. I am so thankful for that period in my life and everything I was exposed to and everything I have become through that exposure. I am also thankful for the ability to share all of this with my children.
Since then I vowed to expose myself and my children to so many different forms of music and the newest is that of Mallary Hope. Her latest album “Out of My Hands” is amazing and something that we will all listen to frequently. Some of her songs on this album include:
- You Will Make A Way
- Looking Back At Me
- 3:16 (No Greater Love)
- Pray With You
- Walking With The Light
- Me
- Out of My Hands
- Lay It Down
- Love More
- Home To The Water
- Now
- My Love
- My God
- Yours
- Saving Me
- Lay It Down (Acoustic)
- My God (Radio Version)
My favorite song on this album is “Me”. I hope when you see this video you will also feel similarly. This song just feels so good – that kind of feel good down to your heart and soul type of song. No matter what my faults, failures, or shortfalls are – I can always seek solace in knowing that God loves me just as I am. He loves me just as I am – that is so powerful and emotional… Knowing through it all I am still always loved exactly as I am!
Mallary’s song “Looking Back At Me” reminds me so much of that period of time in my life. I had high hopes when I moved to Kansas but so much fell apart. It was all for a reason though – and I know that now. In fact I knew that shortly after. I really find myself loving “Out of My Hands” also – sometimes there is just a certain peace in just letting things go. I often see people that want to control every aspect of their lives. I find just the thought of that so stressful. Sometimes things are just out of my hands and I am at peace with that.
I will be listening to Mallary Hope’s Out of My Hands often!
