Have You Heard of the Groove Belt?

In two weeks I am having rotator cuff surgery.  In preparation for it I purchased some pants that were slightly large so I can easily get them on with one hand.  The problem with that is that at some point after the surgery I will need to go back to work.  I will be able to get the pants on but will they stay up?  I can’t use a regular belt because you need two hands to be able to close (and open) a regular belt.  Not like I can ask someone at work to help me in an emergency…

I recently found the Groove Belt!  This is the answer to my struggles.  I doubt they created this for surgical rehab but they really should market to the shoulder surgery population.  This belt uses Neodymium Magnets to snap the buckle in place perfectly.

The belts are made with proprietary webbing, neodymium magnets, and an aluminum alloy buckle.  The belt is available in 5 sizes.  Belts are available for men and women.

Another great benefit is that my son is 20 years old and autistic.  When he was younger he could ask someone for help with his belt (and shoelaces). Now he really can’t walk up to people and ask for help with his belt.  There is no way in the world he would need help with a belt like this.

The magnetic buckle snaps itself right into place – all he has to do is get it in the general area.  For such a strong magnet – it is also very easy to take off.  Simply shift the top of the buckle every so slightly and it separates easily.
