The benefits of coffee are innumerable and varied. Did you know that drinking coffee can lower your risk of heart attack, prevent dental cavities, and help people who have difficulty falling asleep? Maybe you already consider yourself a coffee enthusiast — if so, check out these juicy facts about the delicious beverage. We can all agree that coffee isn’t just a necessity. It’s a lifestyle.

Boosts Energy Levels

A cup of coffee can give your brain a caffeine jolt that helps you power through your morning. One study found that drinking coffee before exercise may improve endurance performance by as much as 15 percent. Drinking coffee regularly may also help protect against Parkinson’s disease, which is associated with lower dopamine levels in the brain.

Lowers Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

Coffee contains many antioxidants that can help fight inflammation and lower your risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Coffee consumption has also been associated with lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD). CVD is the leading cause of death worldwide, so any small change that can reduce risk can make a big difference over time.

Supports Brain Health

Because coffee contains caffeine, it stimulates your central nervous system for a few hours after you drink it. Caffeine helps wake up your brain and gives you energy by increasing levels of dopamine — a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and motivation — in your brain’s reward circuitry. This can be helpful if you’re feeling tired or bored because it makes you feel more alert and less lethargic.

Promotes Weight Loss

Coffee can help you lose weight because it contains chlorogenic acid, which slows the release of glucose into the bloodstream after a meal. This helps prevent blood sugar spikes and crashes that lead to cravings and overeating.

Lowers Risk of Depression

One study found that women who drank four cups of coffee per day were less likely to develop depression than those who did not drink coffee at all. Those who drank eight cups had a 65% lower chance of becoming depressed than those who didn’t drink coffee! The same study found that men who drank four cups had a 35% lower risk of developing depression than those who did not drink any coffee at all.

How I Like My Coffee

I only started drinking coffee about four years ago. I had never had anything except instant coffee until then, and yuck! Starbucks converted me into a coffee drinker. Loving Starbucks can cause a person to go bankrupt; it isn’t worth that much. Then I found Javy!

My youngest two children are 18 and 22. When I started drinking Javy, I never anticipated them converting too! We haven’t made one trip to any coffee shop in eternity, and now all that money is in my pocket!

How can Javy be that good? Well, I don’t know, but they are. We each have our favorite flavors. I like the original, Anthony is all about the caramel, and Sephora dies for vanilla. Just a little bit goes a long way! How much do you spend on coffee shop coffee? Give Javy a try, and I trust you will be converted.

Now that I have the perfect coffee, I need the perfect mug! Hillyard Engraving Group sells personalized mugs – just what The Stuff of Success needs!

These mugs can be personalized with a logo, names, sayings, or anything and used as gifts for any occasion. The mugs are a great size and hold more than 20 ounces.

It’s great that you pointed out how a cup of coffee could give your brain a caffeine jolt that could help you power through your morning. I’ve been having trouble waking up in the morning lately, so I am thinking of drinking coffee during breakfast. So with that in mind, I am planning on getting a Keurig maker later.
