I have been wanting a ukulele for a long time. About 15 years ago I took guitar lessons for a couple years with my stepsons. I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent together at lessons, practicing and having fun. My oldest stepson is a tremendous guitar player. But from the moment I started playing a guitar – I have always wanted a ukulele.
But then my life took a different direction with my daughters – we played piano. Guitars and ukuleles took a back seat for quite a few years. Then there was a brief stint with drums. But I still wanted a ukulele. When my youngest daughter turned her interest to a saxophone – I finally began to feel like I could choose an instrument for myself.
This Amumu Solid Acacia Concert Ukulele is 23 inches long and sounds incredible. It is all solid Acacia Koa – the neck, top, back and sides. The fingerboard has a rosewood semi-gloss finish. The binding is rosewood with herringbone purfling and the nut & saddle is ivory; the machine head is bronze and the strings are premium Aquila.

This concert ukulele even comes with its own gig bag and tuner. The gig back is not a thin gig bag – it is high quality and well made.

I can honestly say this Amumu Concert Ukulele is EVERYTHING I had hoped for. It has an amazing sound and is simply gorgeous. I have alot to learn since I am new the ukulele and haven’t even touched my guitar in years but so far I am having a great time practicing and learning. In the meantime, a friend of mine helped to make a video for you all!
And another video/slideshow mix…
