Dave Matthews Band-
First Ever vinyl release of 1993 Debut “Remember Two Things”
Review and Giveaway
Dave Matthews Band has been one of my favorite bands since junior high-there I go dating myself-and I have seen them perform live a few times-amazing shows! I am very excited to do my first music review and giveaway. I recently received the album Remember Two Things on CD. Originally released in 1993, Remember Two Things was a word-of- mouth sensation. It gave us the first look at the iconic Dave Matthews Band sound. The vinyl release will feature the original album packaged in an individually numbered gatefold jacket and include a new eight-page booklet with full lyrics and rare and previously unpublished photos of the band. A download card will feature the full album plus two previously unreleased bonus tracks: early studio versions of “Pay For What you Get” and “Typical Situation.” Most of the songs on this album were recorded live at clubs, but a few were recorded in studio. The album was certified platinum in 2002. This album contains a few songs I have never heard, which is great, I love being exposed to new music, especially from a band I already love. It has all of the sound you expect from Dave Matthews, from jazzy to haunting, upbeat to slow and back again. It has the typical Dave Matthews story-telling and iconic sound. It has some songs we have all come to know and love “Ants Marching,” “Tripping Billies,” and “Satellite.” It gets you grooving and happy. Remember Two Things is currently available for sale here: http://1993.davematthewsband.com Dave Mathews Band has been travelling around the world playing music for over 20 years, and is currently on an extensive North American tour ending September 6 in Irvine, CA.
