Making Our Own Easter Baskets

Do you buy an Easter basket or make your own?  It really is quite easy and inexpensive to make great baskets for your children/grandchildren.

First you need a product to use as your foundation – what will you build your basket around?  I chose Welch’s Fruit Snacks and Go Organically Fruit Snacks.

Welch’s Fruit Snacks are the perfect smart, portion controlled snack for anyone with a sweet tooth. Welch’® Fruit Snacks feature fruit as the first ingredient, contain 100% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin C, 25% of Vitamins A&E, are Fat Free, Gluten Free and contain no preservatives. Welch’s® Fruit Snacks are sure to delight your family with the delicious taste and quality that can only be Welch’s®.

We almost always have Welch’s Fruit Snacks in our house.  They are a way for me to give my kids that special treat but also in a portion controlled situation.  They are easily made very happy with a package of these fruit snacks – and are far better for them than a handful of cookies.

Go Organically Fruit Snacks are the perfect option for anyone in your family who is looking for a smart and delicious snack. Go Organically® Fruit Snacks are USDA-certified organic, made with real fruit purées and real fruit juices.  These tasty treats include 100% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin C and are an excellent source of Vitamins A and E. Go Organically® Fruit Snacks are GMO-free, gluten-free, preservative-free and made with natural flavors and colors from natural sources.  Not to mention, each individual pack is only 70 calories!

We are new to these fruit snacks and started eating this with my grandson – now it has become a family affair.  The individual packs are only 70 calories and another great way to keep all the kids in the house very happy.

So once you have a foundation – you build an Easter Basket around it.  I love the dollar stores for the filler.

For this project the basket, hummingbird feeder, filled plastic eggs and “slinkies” are from the Dollar Store.  The Minions are from another treat not available dollar stores.  This basket cost less than $15 and it is overflowing.  The fruit snacks will actually be split between three baskets.  The kids will be so thrilled with each Easter basket and they will also have their own hummingbird feeders which I am sure they will check every day with meme!
