There’s no truer love than the kind we receive from our dogs. They are never too preoccupied to greet us at the door or comfort us when we are sad. Our pups live only to please us and receive love in return. And because they offer so much in the way of companionship and emotional support, it is only fitting the devoted dog owner would want to provide in return the proven nutrition that can transform a pet’s life. Hill’s® Science Diet® offers precisely formulated dog food products for every stage of your furry sidekick’s growth and development into maturity.
Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality dog food is specially created for adult dogs 7 years and older and designed to promote a continued lifetime of health and happiness. Realistically, senior dogs may benefit from increased immune support and other carefully considered nutrients for stamina, joint health, and digestion. The Youthful Vitality ingredient list is formulated with these concerns in mind. Plus, it is made up of whole foods like chicken, peas, and barley. I personally know a very special 7-year old Newfoundland who approves of those ingredients.
Before we started Xena Lee on Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality she would be very lethargic. We just attributed it to us being at work during the day and she was just very bored. But my mother in law has always spent time with her during the day and gave her plenty of exercise. Also her hair was dull and seemed to have lost the gorgeous youthful luster. Since being on this dog food her hair is gorgeous (see the photo below). In fact the first week she all of a sudden lost a ton of hair. Every day I would vacuum and the next day tufts of hair would be floating around everywhere. After three weeks this is the hair she was left with – very much like her gorgeous black wavy puppy hair! We all love admiring her hair now. The very first day on this food she definitely had energy – in fact she was quite literally bouncing off the walls. The next day I gave her a little less of it and slowly graduated her up to her full amount of food. After the first day she was perfect – plenty of energy for us but not too much energy.
Whether or not your beloved pet has been displaying signs of aging, it may be time to consider changes in diet. The switch in food may be able to help them put a best paw forward towards those golden years. Chat with your veterinarian and consider the new Hill’s® Science Diet® Youthful Vitality food in either wet or dry. We’ve got to keep our pups prancing with us through life for as long as possible!
