Everyone has a smartphone in their pocket nowadays. And you might spend more time on that smartphone than you do connecting with other people or going out and enjoying nature. Many people wonder how they can get back out there and enjoy nature. However, that temptation that comes with a smartphone and the other technological gadgets that you have is overwhelming sometimes. Keep reading down below, where we’re going to bring you through the top ways that the tech-savvy you can connect with nature in a meaningful way – away from your smartphone and other gadgets.

  1. Do Some Meditation Outside

One of the absolute best ways that you can center yourself, remove yourself from those technological distractions, and focus in on nature is to meditate. Now, meditation might be something that you’ve heard of before, but thought it was a bit too much of a hippie thing for you to get into. However, many CEOs of technology companies and other leaders swear by meditation as a way for you to relieve stress and focus on the important things in life. You can easily just go outside in your front yard or your balcony and do some meditation first thing in the morning. When you do this, you are going to be releasing the stress of the outside world, listen to the birds singing, breath in the fresh air, and become one with nature.

  1. Grow Something

Growing something is another fantastic way that you can get involved with nature and re-connect with the natural world. When you plant something, and watch it grow and take care of it, you are helping connect yourself with the soil under your feet. And once that plant grows, you are going to be able to say to yourself that you did that and you were the person who made that beautiful thing happen. Plus, if you start planting and growing your own food, you won’t have to spend so much money at the grocery store so often! You could do this right after you mow the lawn with your lawn mower from Lawn mower lane.

  1. Pick Up a Book and Read Outside

Another great way that you can get out there and enjoy the sunshine and nature is to pick up a book and read outside. Just sitting underneath, a tree with a nice book open on your lap is a great way to spend time with nature. You can even read a book that has something to do with the environment to get even more connections with nature! For example, what about reading a book about climate change and what you can do to stop it? Or a book about planting?

  1. Learn an Instrument in The Park

Another great way that you can get rid of that technological addiction that you have and spend more time in nature is to learn an instrument in the park. Just head out to a public park and bring along your guitar or any other instrument to start learning. If you prefer classical music, which is known to have a relaxing vibe, you can visit a violin shop and purchase one that is suited for beginners.  You can easily buy a book that you can learn the instrument from. How great does that sound?

  1. Go for A Jog

Of course, another hobby that you can pick up that’s going to connect you with nature and get rid of your smartphone addiction is to go jogging. Or any other form of exercise outside, for that matter! A nice jog around the park or even a hike in the woods is a great way to get your daily dose of exercise in and take in some of that fresh air. You would be surprised at how connected you’ll feel with nature after a nice run outside.

That’s it! These are the best hobbies that you should be picking up if you want to re-connect with nature after being obsessed with technology for so long. What are you waiting for?

Connection with nature is necessary for man. Nature gives strength, we recharge and rest there from the hustle and bustle of life. I recently discovered astronomy, and on how to get started with amateur astronomy I found a great article here read.
