Healthy Dog, Happy Mom With Fetch My Meds #FetchMyMeds

If you are a pet owner you know how expensive appropriate care can be.  We have had dogs that have only needed the routine care throughout their entire lives but we have also had dogs that have needed significant care with many associated health expenses.  Since our dogs are not on our family health insurance plan the expenses were sometimes very exorbitant UNTIL we found Fetch My Meds.

This post is sponsored by Fetch My Meds and the BlogPaws® Pet Influencer Network™. I am being compensated to create awareness about the Fetch My Meds pharmacy discount program for pets, but we only share information we feel is relevant to our readers. At the moment we have one dog – our lovely, spoiled Newfoundland.  She has it made – spends her days in air conditioning or sunbathing.  She prefers to sunbathe and enjoy the fresh air as long as the temps don’t go above 80 degrees – at that point air conditioning wins out over sunshine.

She does have some medical needs – she seems to have quite a sensitive stomach so she takes medication for that and we watch her diet.  Without assistance, these meds can be expensive but without the meds she loses weight, becomes cranky, has trouble keeping her food down.

We have recently found a great way to reduce some of our pet related expenses through the Fetch My Meds program.  Through this program I am able to request a free discount medication card which will save me up to 70% on my pets’ medications.  I order this discount card through the Fetch My Meds website.  While proceeding through the application process I simply provide some of my information as well as information related to the pets we have that would be benefiting from the discount.  As soon as that information is keyed in, the card is printable as well as sent to my email address for future access.   The card is available for dog, cat, bird or other.  I added our dog and horses…

Whether you purchase your medications at your local pharmacy, such as Walgreens or CVS, or if special order your medication from online pet pharmacies, the Fetch My Med prescription medication discount card is a great way to save money while keeping your pet healthy and fit.

The card is very simple to use – For me I simply have our vet call Xena’s prescriptions in to our local pharmacy and I go there and present my prescription card.  They re-calculate my amount due with the discount and voila – I save money!  Not only can I save money at my local pharmacy when it is also a human medication but I can save money online through Pet360 by placing the product I need in my shopping cart (such as heartworm medication), fill out the prescription information, supply the vet’s information and they contact the vet to confirm that it is a valid prescription after I place my order.

In the event you may forget the process, the back of the card outlines the process to obtain the discount.

This is total awesomeness and FREE – the Fetch My Med card costs you absolutely nothing!  The process is so incredibly easy.  At a human retail pharmacy it works just like the process you are used to for your own prescriptions except this is not insurance, it is a discount medication card.  It also allows you to purchase anything you need that requires a prescription for your pet at Pet360.com and they may actually contact the vet on your behalf.  Easy Peasy.
